We have an important change to share regarding Aid Station 2.
AS2 Ramsey is being relocated and renamed → AS2 Bonnell Flats (Mile 11.6).
At the request of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and Cummings Township, the aid station will move across the bridge and 0.5 miles down the Pine Creek Rail Trail to Bonnell Flats Campground.
Why the Change? Safety.
This decision comes down to reducing congestion and improving safety for runners, volunteers, and the local community:
Limited Parking & Congestion
The current Ramsey location sits at a small trailhead with only a few parking spaces—far from adequate for volunteers, race staff, and logistics. It also must be shared with other public trail users.
Impact on Local Residents
The aid station (Ramsey) was along a township road serving Ramsey Village (~30 households). Race activity has been impeding access for those who live there.
Highway Safety Concerns
The previous aid station location (Ramsey) was just off PA-44, where a runner crossing, increased motorist distraction (“rubbernecking”) and stopped vehicles have created unsafe conditions.
What to Expect at the new AS2 Bonnell Flats
Located along the Pine Creek Rail Trail adjacent to the Bonnell Flats campground
Cross the railroad trestle → continue ~0.5 miles to the aid station
YES — real bathroom facilities! Previously, the first permanent facilities weren’t until Hyner Run (mile 43.6). (We will have additional porta-johns at AS2 to reduce any lines waiting to see the bathroom.)
The same aid station volunteers from previous years so you'll see some familiar faces

Course Flow Adjustment
After the aid station, runners will:
Backtrack ~0.25 miles
Turn left onto Tiadaghton Trail and rejoin the existing course
Important Notes. No Changes from Previous Years.
No crew access
No spectators
No pacers
No drop bags
No cutoff at this location
Updated aid station charts and full course description are now live:
We appreciate your understanding as we continue working with our land managers and local communities to keep this race safe, sustainable, and world-class.
